Purchasing Overview
The Purchasing Department is responsible for acquiring goods and services for the Authority, as well as maintaining a warehouse full of station supplies, uniforms and bunker gear items. The Purchasing staff distributes the station supplies through an ordering process for 17 stations, 2 administration buildings and the Joint Services Facility. Uniforms and Bunker items are supplied to personnel as needed. To keep the warehouse stocked and provide other services as needed, our staff utilizes various governmental Contracts, as well as solicits Request for Proposals, Request for Quotes, and Formal Invitation for Bids. We promote maximum competition and fairness while complying with legal and budgetary requirements and saving taxpayer dollars.
