2. HOME FIRE SPRINKLER TAX REBATE APPLICATION
4. South Metro Fire Rescue offers a one-time property tax rebate of $1,000 to the property owner of any newly-constructed one- and two-family dwelling or townhouse purchased between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2017 where a home fire sprinkler system was voluntarily installed. This also applies to the voluntary retrofitting of sprinklers in a home during the same time period.
6. To apply for the rebate: Please complete the form, print, sign and date at the bottom, and include required documentation. Mail to: Becky Bishop, South Metro Fire Rescue, 9195 E.     For new home purchases, the home must have been under contract or closed between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2017. Provide a letter from the homebuilder verifying the date of contract, date of closing, and that a fire sprinkler system was installed. For homes constructed by an individual and for model/spec homes, a copy of the building permit and certificate of occupancy may be provided.
