South Metro's Engine Companies are designed to be initial response units to all-hazard emergencies involving fires, medicals, traffic accidents or hazardous materials. Engines are staffed by 3 or 4 firefighters and depending where they are housed in our district, carry between 750 and 1,500 gallons of water. South Metro Medic Units are staffed by a crew of two Firefighters and at least one is a Paramedic. They respond to all types of emergencies and can transport patients to the hospital. Technical Details - 2009 Ford / PL Custom
Red 3 is a specialized vehicle used by South Metro's Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Team. It is staffed by the crew of Engine 44 when aircraft emergencies occur at or near Centennial Airport. Technical Details - 1999 E-One Titan II 4×4.
