South Metro offers a variety of services to our community and citizens, including: 

  • The Fire Marshal's Office is divided into three sections: Code Compliance, Development & Construction and Fire Investigation.  Please reach to them for permits, inspections, plan reviews and more.

  • Emergency Medical Services: Emergency medical services is a critical function of the South Metro Fire Rescue  (SMFR). SMFR fire service personnel are frequently the first responders to medical emergencies.

  • Community Engagement, Activities and Programs: South Metro Fire Rescue is pleased to offer various community engagement events and activities for our citizens and our community.

  • Life Safety Education: Life Safety Education helps with the prevention of fires and injuries through a variety of programs offered.

  • Training/Classes/Courses: South Metro offers a variety of classes and course for CPR, EMT, and more.

  • Explorer ProgramThis programs offers young men and women real life experiences, training and exposure to the career opportunities in the fire service.

  • Citizens Academy: The Citizens Academy is an opportunity for South Metro Fire Rescue residents to get a first-hand look at what emergency services is all about.

  • Car Seat InspectionsSouth Metro Fire Rescue Authority is pleased to offer courtesy inspections to families that work and live in our fire district. We will inspect child safety seats and booster seats every Wednesday in either Lone Tree or Parker.
